# Remove User

`client.organization.users.remove(userID, options?): UserRemoveResponse`

**DELETE** `/v1/organizations/users/{user_id}`

Remove a member from the organization.

## Parameters

- `userID: string` (path parameter)

  ID of the User.

## Returns

- `interface UserRemoveResponse`

  - `type: "user_deleted"`

    Deleted object type.

    For Users, this is always `"user_deleted"`.

    default: user_deleted

  - `id: string`

    ID of the User.

## Example

```typescript
import Anthropic from "@anthropic-ai/sdk";

const client = new Anthropic({
  apiKey: process.env["ANTHROPIC_API_KEY"] // This is the default and can be omitted
});

const user = await client.organization.users.remove("user_id");

console.log(user.id);
```
