# Get Session Thread

`$client->beta->sessions->threads->retrieve(string threadID, string sessionID, ?list<AnthropicBeta> betas, ?string workspaceID): ManagedAgentsSessionThread`

**GET** `/v1/sessions/{session_id}/threads/{thread_id}`

Get Session Thread

## Parameters

- `sessionID: string` (path parameter)

- `threadID: string` (path parameter)

- `betas?: optional list<AnthropicBeta>` (header parameter)

  This endpoint is in beta: requests must send `managed-agents-2026-04-01` in this header.

- `workspaceID?: optional string` (header parameter)

  Optional header to select the Workspace for this request. The value is a Workspace ID (for example, `wrkspc_011CZkZaBF1tNoB5wlCeusgy`).

  Only needed for credentials that can act on more than one Workspace. A credential that belongs to a specific Workspace may omit it; if sent, it must match that Workspace.

  - `"session_thread" type`

  - `string id`

    Unique identifier for this thread.

  - `Agent agent`

    Resolved agent definition for this thread. Snapshot of the agent at thread creation time.

  - `?\Datetime archivedAt`

    When the thread was archived. Null if not archived.

  - `\Datetime createdAt`

    When the thread was created.

  - `?string parentThreadID`

    Parent thread that spawned this thread. Null for the primary thread.

  - `string sessionID`

    The session this thread belongs to.

  - `?ManagedAgentsSessionThreadStats stats`

    Timing statistics for this thread. Null until the thread's first status transition.

  - `ManagedAgentsSessionThreadStatus status`

    Current execution status of the thread.

  - `\Datetime updatedAt`

    When the thread was last updated.

  - `?ManagedAgentsSessionThreadUsage usage`

    Cumulative token usage for this thread. Null until the thread's first idle transition.

  - `?string workflowRunID`

    Identifier of the workflow run that created the thread, or `null` for any other thread.
